Get off the beaten track on an adventure trip to Morocco!
Places perfect for exploration on foot are everywhere in Morocco. The best known sites are in the Atlas and the desert, but there are endless opportunities for walking tours in Morocco: an easy week of hiking on the Atlantic coast; a trek in the Jebel Sahro, the volcanic range between the Atlas and the Sahara; or even a climb of the Jebel Siroua, an isolated volcano west of Ouarzazate....
We are at your disposal to design a trek entirely around your interests and pace! Whether you want to go on a camel safari in Southern Morocco, a trek around the M'Goun or across the Atlas on foot, we will adapt everything to best suit you. We can also put together a family trek south of Essaouira, our only limit is your imagination!
Here are only a few examples:
Trek the Coast Around Essaouira
When visiting the Atlantic Coast, stop at Essaouira and go on trek between the ocean and the foothills of the Anti Atlas Mountains. Most of the landscapes you come across will be deserted, dunes, cliffs, and lagoons...ideal for a family adventure, you'll walk two to four hours of walking each day.
Climbing Mount Toubkal
When travelling in the High Atlas, walkers will be drawn to the jebel Toubkal National Park (4167m). Through was forests of green oaks, de thujas and junipers, you'll discover contrasting landscapes of cliffs and plateaux overlooking the fertile Ourika N'Fiss and Sous Valleys. An eight day trek that is a Moroccan must and end in a triumphant climb of North Africa's highest peak!
Trek in the M'Goun
Get off the beaten tracks and discover the M'Goun Mountain. It will take a full week to discover the incredible variety of landscapes you can find here. Between steep slopes and snow capped peaks, plains and plateaus, gorges and valleys, the M-Goun natural park is ideal for trekkers, hikers and skiiers! Go on an eight day adventure starting in Marrakech.
Trek through the Moroccan Sahara
South of the Atlas Mountains, go bivouaking in the Moroccan Sahara! Along oueds and palm groves, you'll cross regs of sunburnt stone. Further on, travellers penetrate into a universe of golden sand dunes. For beginners to experts, our wide range of treks has you covered in Tazzarine, M'Hamid, Zagora or even Merzouga...
Nights in a Bivouac
During treks in the Atlas or in Southern Morocco, simple yet comfortable bivouacs are overseen by our teams of camel or mule drivers. They are set up each night, and don't worry, if you have trouble putting your tent up, your guide or another team member will help you the first few times.
A normal bivouac is composed of double igloo tents, a cooking tent and a mess tent where meals are taken. For your comfort there are rugs, cushions and lanterns. In the winter, a brasero heats the mess tent. There are no restrooms, a small price to pay for exploring a totally untouched natural setting.
Our Moroccan Guides
Our mountain and desert guides are all accredited by the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism. They know how to adapt the level of difficulty of treks for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. They can also plan a private holiday in a guesthouse or bivouac around which you go a different hike through the region every day.
