On the northern coast, from the Algerian border to the Strait of Gibraltar, flanked by the calm waters of the Mediterranean, lie a succession of small fishing ports, seaside resorts and colonial forts. The 500 km stretch of the Mediterranean coast is dotted with hidden gems: coves with turquoise waters and fine sand beaches. On the Atlantic side, large beaches of light sand, impressive waves and wild coastline await.
Heading away from the coast, the land transforms to reveal a new side of northern Morocco. Discover the splendour of the “blue pearl”, Chefchaouen, where shades of blue decorate houses, walls and streets. A captivating and relaxing blue, reminiscent of the ocean or sky.
A little further west lies the Rif, a beautiful Berber mountain range, between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, unknown and uncrowded.
Exploring the North means entering a world of culture and tradition. Mealtimes are founded on sharing and hospitality, so do not hesitate to sample the local cuisine!
