Green valleys

The Atlas Mountains and the green valleys in the middle of the country offer to travelers a wide range of landscapes. From high peaks to plateaus, or canyons to valleys, this region is a terrific place for people who love to trek and hike.

– When travelling in the High Atlas Mountains, trekker and hikers will of course be drawn to the Toubkal National Park. Through vast forests of Holly Oaks, Thujas, and Junipers, travellers come across contrasting landscapes of plateaus and cliffs overlooking the fertile Ourika, N’Fis and Sous Valleys.

– If you want to go somewhere original without running into tourists, explore the region around M’Goun, great for hiking! The range of panoramas is stunning, from steep mountain crests, snowy peaks, plains and plateaus, to gorges and valleys…

– An exploration of the Ourika Valley will bring you somewhere totally different but still only a stone’s throw away from Marrakech. This valley truly brings visitors into the Berber’s mountain universe, traditional and preserved, in perfect harmony with nature.

– At the heart of the Anti-Atlas, Taroudant is an ideal base camp for many beautiful hikes. The Ammeln Valley, at the feet of Jebel Lkest, hides within its hollows most of the region’s villages. Venture into exceptionally lush oases where fig trees, date palms, and almond trees grow beside waterfalls and rapids.
