Here, you’ll spend five days hiking gently from village to village, from valley to gorge, discovering springs and waterfalls, crossing orchards and rubbing shoulders with a world of Berber shepherds and farmers. You meet your guide in Marrakech and depart by minibus for Azilal at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, lunch en route. Arrive in the afternoon at Bougmez, at the end of an impressive mountain track.
Settle into your charming inn, Dar Si Hamou, a dry-stone house located in the heart of the valley (7 rooms with private bathroom and toilet, lounge, fireplace and 3 terraces, one with a panoramic view of the crops and surrounding peaks). After a welcome tea, you’ll set off for a short walk in the valley, dinner and night at the inn (1850m).
5-hour drive and approx. 1-hour walk.
Night in Bougmez.
You climb up a mule track to reach the granary and marabout of Sidi Moussa and then descend to the villages of Timit and Aguerd Ouzrou. A detour to see dinosaur footprints takes you through orchards to Idoukalen. Picnic in the countryside. Return to your hostel in the afternoon.

You climb up the valley, from village to village, until you reach Ikhf n’Ighir and the Ahabay sheepfolds, dominated by austere, majestic mountains. Picnic in the heart of nature. You then pass through the villages of Iskatafen and Imelghas, before returning to the inn.

Night in Bougmez.
In the morning, you walk along the banks of the Assif Rbat tributary. See the water mills in the village of Ait Imi and dinosaur tracks again. Picnic in the countryside. Return to your hostel in the afternoon.

In the early morning, you set off for a final stroll through the valley. After collecting your minibus, you return to Marrakech via Azilal and the Ouzoud waterfalls. Picnic at the waterfalls and arrival in Marrakech at the end of the day.
