Ouarzazate - Skoura - Boumalne
Boulmane
Pick-up of your 4WD at the hotel and departure for the Dades Valley. First you take the road, then the track to discover the Skoura palm grove. One of the most beautiful in Morocco, it stretches for dozens of kilometers at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Kasbahs follow kasbahs in lush gardens. You can also make a detour to Sidi Flah to admire a beautiful kasbah set on the banks of the Oued Dadès. Arrive in Boumalne at the end of the day and settle into a guest house – kasbah.

Dadès Gorges - Todhra Gorges
Todhra valley
You climb up the Dades valley, which cuts deeper and deeper into the flanks of the Atlas mountains. Berber villages, perched high above the valley floor, maintain their traditional livestock-raising and market-gardening activities. The view from the pass after Msemrir is magnificent. A spectacularly steep track leads down to the Todhra valley, where you descend to an impressive gorge. The cliff dominates the valley floor by over 300 metres. A climber’s paradise! At Tinerhir, you rejoin the main road to Boulmane.

Boumalne - Sagho - N’kob
N'kob
An early start, as the road is long… You cross the Djebel Sagho, a volcanic massif located between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara. It’s a veritable geological chaos of spires, basaltic plateaus and small valleys with sparse vegetation. The highlight is crossing the Tizi n’Tazazert pass at an altitude of 2,280 metres. Extraordinary views of the Atlas mountains to the north and the Sahara to the south. The southern slope is even more arid, and by the time you reach N’kob, you’re already in the desert…

N’kob - Agdz
Agdz
At N’kob, you’re back on the asphalt road that links the Tafilalet to the Draa Valley. But don’t hesitate to leave it a little to the south to discover the few oases and palm groves you can spot. The Draa Valley is always a surprise. The lush vegetation seems incredible after all those miles of aridity. Stop and take a stroll through the gardens. Arrive at the end of the day in Agdz, Berber word for “granary”. A small town in the upper valley.

Agdz - Ouarzazate

Continuation to Ouarzazate. You cross the Djebel Sagho on its western side. Drop off your vehicle at Ouarzazate airport.
